The Hessen-Wisconsin Student Exchange Program is a broad consortium of participating universities of the University of Wisconsin System and Institutions of Higher Education in Hessen.

In the Hessen-Wisconsin Program Wisconsin students are offered the opportunity to study at an institute of higher education in Hessen. Exchange opportunities include short-term, semester and academic year programs. Students may choose from a wide spectrum of courses depending on language competence and academic preparation, including an increasing number of international and English-language programs.

This study abroad experience will not only give you the chance to live in Germany and learn the language, but also adds a European dimension to your academic career.

Courses at Hessen institutions of higher education are free of charge for international students except for segregated fees including regional public transportation (Semesterticket). The program does not provide for travel, visa, medical and living expenses in Germany.
